ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD.
Instead of exploring thoughts endlessly or trying to argue with them, ERP helps you:Gradually face the thoughts, images, sensations, or situations that trigger your obsessions
Practice resisting compulsions and mental rituals
Build confidence in tolerating uncertainty
While traditional talk therapy can be helpful for many issues, it often doesn’t interrupt the OCD cycle. ERP gives you a structured way to change the pattern driving your symptoms.
-
No. You will never be forced into exposures you’re not ready for.
ERP is a collaborative, paced process. We begin with the mildest items on your hierarchy — not your biggest fears — and move forward together. You always know:
What we’re doing
Why we’re doing it
How it supports your long-term goals
ERP is challenging at times, but it should never feel unsafe or overwhelming. Your autonomy is central to the process.
-
Yes. ERP is highly effective for intrusive thoughts and mental compulsions such as ruminating, reassurance seeking, or checking your memory.
Together, we’ll practice:Allowing intrusive thoughts to show up without fighting them
Interrupting mental rituals
Building tolerance for uncertainty
ERP works for all OCD subtypes — there is no theme that is “too weird” or “too shameful.”

Yes. In addition to OCD, I work with adults experiencing generalized anxiety, depression, chronic worry, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and life-transition stress. Many clients come in with overlapping symptoms, and we tailor treatment to support the whole picture (not just one diagnosis).
-
Absolutely. Many people reach out because they’re struggling with intrusive thoughts, uncertainty, overthinking, low mood, or self-doubt, but aren’t sure what’s driving it. In our first session, we explore your experiences together and determine the best treatment approach. If ERP isn’t the right fit, I also offer CBT and ACT for anxiety, depression, values-based living, and self-confidence work.
-
Yes. While ERP is the gold-standard for OCD, I also have advanced training in:
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
Both are evidence-based, skills-oriented treatments that help with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I integrate these modalities as needed so therapy feels supportive, personalized, and effective.
-
ACT helps you develop a healthier relationship with your thoughts and emotions, while CBT helps you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Both blend naturally with ERP and they support confidence, resilience, and the ability to move toward what matters most in your life.
-
Yes — ERP works extremely well via secure video sessions. Many clients actually prefer online ERP because:
You’re already in the environment where your symptoms show up
We can design exposures that match your real-life routines
There’s less travel and scheduling stress
You can do ERP where it matters most: your home, workplace, car, or daily life
Telehealth ERP is as effective as in-person treatment when delivered by a trained therapist.
-
Yes. All sessions take place through a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

I also recommend clients join sessions from a private, quiet space to support confidentiality.

Yes. I am currently in-network with Aetna and Quest Behavioral Health through Headway for clients in California and Montana.
If you have one of these plans, sessions are billed directly through your insurance. Coverage, copays, and deductibles vary by plan, and we can review your benefits during a free consultation.
For clients using other insurance plans or who prefer not to use insurance, I am self-pay. I can provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
-
Sessions are $195 for 50 minutes.
During the early stages of ERP, most clients benefit from meeting weekly to build momentum. As symptoms improve, we may shift to every other week. Frequency is always tailored to your goals and capacity.
-
I currently work with children (as young as 8), teens, and adults (18+) seeking support for OCD and related anxiety disorders.
